Eyes on the Field
Venn Canteen organised a day-long workshop at Formiga Gloriosa, one of the partner farms for the first phase of EYES ON THE FIELD.Designed by the Center for Genomic Gastronomy, the session invited a small group to observe, draw, and document the biodiversity of the farm — from the visible to the easily overlooked.
Participants used BITZ, a hybrid analogue-digital tool developed by Cunicode, created to support close observation and sharpen visual awareness.
The goal was to connect what grows in the field with what ends up on the plate.
To slow down. To notice complexity. To explore the deep entanglement between food and biodiversity.
